A move is usually a pivotal moment in life; it implies a change in life circumstances, a change in the social environment, a change of neighborhood, city, and sometimes even country. This is why it is not uncommon for it to be experienced as a challenge, and even more so in large cities, where it is sometimes difficult to make new encounters.
At UrbyDen, our private spaces offer you a place to retreat, where you will feel 100% at home, and our common areas are designed to cultivate connection and companionship, giving you access to a support & friendship network from day one.

Our Offer
We LOVE pets, but unfortunately, we don’t have any animal-friendly apartments available at the moment.
Currently, we do not offer private spaces that are designed to accommodate families.
Yes, we can offer additional services for both Shared residences & Private Apartments:
- change of sheets,
- cleaning of private areas
You will just be charged a little extra ;).
No, we do not provide bed sheets in our flatshares.
Our units are adapted to accommodate one person for each private space in a shared residence, and one person or a couple in a private unit, depending on the type of private space.

All our shared apartments are entirely furnished and equipped.
In terms of furniture and decoration, we thought of everything: a hotel-like bed, generous storage space, a real desk to work in your room, but especially a couch to relax on at the end of the day with your roommates! All in a homy, joyful and authentic style to feel at home immediately!
As for equipment, all the essentials are provided and ready to be used: refrigerator, washing machine, oven, and microwave. The exact list is available upon request to your UrbyDen consultant.
In terms of services, it will depend on the type of residence you choose:
Booking and Payment
Our shared apartments are the home of our members. Therefore we only do visits if we have a free room to respect our members’ privacy. This will have to be organized under conditions and with a member of the UrbyDen team.
The notice period is one month.
Choose a private unit directly on our website by filling out the associated form, a member of our team will contact you as soon as possible.
It’s as simple as that, you’re just a few clicks away!
Yes, the minimum lease duration is 6 months. After that, you can either extend your lease or terminate it with a 1 month’s notice.
We don’t charge any move-in fees. To book a room, you only pay the rent and a deposit.
A security deposit corresponding to 1 month’s rent, to be paid at the time of confirmation of booking.
For the tenant :
- A valid identification document (ID or passport).
- Proof of professional status: a work contract, an internship contract, or a school certificate.
- Proof of income: the last 3 pay slips or internship allowance.
For students who don’t have an income, don’t worry! We will take into consideration the income of your guarantor.
For the guarantor:
- A valid identification document (ID or passport).
- Proof of employment: a work contract or any document attesting to a professional activity.
- Proof of residence less than 3 months old: electricity, water, or telephone bill.
- Proof of income: the last 3 pay slips or the last tax notice.
In order to ensure that your application is processed as quickly as possible, please check your documents’ date of validity carefully.
You can set up a monthly mandate or do a bank transfer every month. Don’t worry, our booking platform will walk you through your options step by step :).
We do not accept any cash payments.
A rent request is sent monthly to the roommates. Rent is due between the 1st and 3rd of each month, for the current month. For example, August 1, 2022, for the month of August 2022.
Day-to-day Life
Parties form an integral part of community life. They’re therefore allowed and even welcome, provided they are held with all due respect to your housemates, your neighbors, and quiet hours.
You sure can! Just let your housemates know beforehand. If your guests are staying overnight and make sure your guests sleep in your private space and not in the shared spaces. Your guests can stay for up to 5 nights in a row per month.
Absolutely! Most of our residences have a regular home internet cable connection (up to 50 mb/s downloading speed), which should work decently for home office purposes, but won’t compare to an office building connection.

It’s your house, therefore you and your housemates share the responsibility of taking care of household chores and of cleaning up after yourselves.
Apartment Sharing:
For your convenience, a cleaning service will clean the floors and surfaces of the common areas once a week.
Housekeepers are not responsible for washing your dishes; remember to clean them yourself, and don’t wait too long if you want to keep a good relationship with your roommates :).
For residences with a garden, we have a maintenance plan per week.
Living Spaces
Of course we do! We want you to feel at home and make this place your own.
We’ve done our best to offer you a warm decoration, we encourage you to add your personal touch with your decorative objects (plants, photos, books, garlands, etc.).
However, we ask you not to drill holes in the walls and to avoid attaching/removing adhesive tape so as not to damage the room.
As with all rentals, an inventory will take place upon your departure where an UrbyDen team member will assess the state of your private space. If any damage is found, the amount necessary to pay for repairs will be deducted from your deposit.
Yes, your private space is equipped with a lock, just like a regular apartment door. You will receive a unique key that will only work for your private unit.
All our shared residences have a large kitchen, and living room to share with the rest of your roommates.
You can even find in some UrbyDen residences a coworking space, a garden, or even a swimming pool depending on the location.
It depends on the space you wish to move into: each unit is unique.
As a general rule, a private space will include at least :
- a sleeping area: a bed, headboard, and mattress
- a work space: table and chair,
- a dressing area: a wardrobe.
UrbyDen offers multiple unit typologies:
Apartment Sharing :
- Bedroom with a shared bathroom,
- Bedroom with a private bathroom.
Private flats :
- Studio with a private bathroom and kitchenette,
- 1 -bedroom apartment (bedroom & living room) that can accommodate up to 2 people.
